clrmamepro 4.024 released
« on: 23 September 2015, 20:01 »

4.024

fixed: cmpro still shows a wrong checksum message for unneeded chds even after removing them.
fixed: general 32bit cut down issue when calculating size/checksums of files in zip64 archives
misc:  xml datfiles with "machine" elements instead of game elements are parsed, too
misc:  xml datfile export (either setinformation or dir2dat) uses "machine" as set element
(cmpro.ini Adv_SetElementXML value holds the value in case you want to change it to "game")
misc:  updated zipclass library to 4.6.2
misc:  updated unrar library 5.30.4
misc:  updated 7z library and sdk to 15.07
misc:  ah yeah, if you don't know already, zip64 format now is officially supported

Getting this message that I had not gotten ever in any other version of clrmamepro.  "Set archive AND set folder exist in the same rompath".   I'm getting it for these roms (dstage, meltyb, ngdup23a, ngdup23c, senko, vf4tuned) of course a few of those have multiple listings due to non-parent as well as their parent.  To be clear I do have a folder with chds in them with name (example: dstage) and I do have a merged zip of same name dstage.zip but everything is merged within the zip that is required to be and the CHD folder are actual CHD files.  I don't have any non-parent zip files since they are merged and I don't have any non-parent chd folders since they too are all merged within same folder.  Not sure why this appeared only in this version of clrmamepro.  Upon completion I do have all 0's for everything and a complete set.

Please look into the folders iand check if there are any non-chd files besides the .chd files in there.

Background: The change already happened in 4.023 (fixed: cmpro doesn't warn about some unpacked rom files within chd subfolders if a rom archive also exists). There are some cases where unpacked rom files can be added by clrmame to the chd subfolders (when a chd-only set gets additional roms in a newer version, then cmpro sees the folder and thinks you got unpacked sets and adds the file there). If you then also got the zipfile for the roms, cmpro did not tell you that you got some unpacked files around...The fix in 4.ß23 now warns you about such cases.

So I'm pretty sure you will find extra non-chd unpacked files in your chd subfolders....remove such files and the message will go away.

Sorry my bad.  You were right it was those .pic files and in a couple default eprom bin files that were in both the chd folders and their own zip files.  I thought I had only chd in the chd folders so my fault.  Keep up the great work with the program and sorry about that.  Removed files and re-ran all clear now.  ;)

Hi Roman, sadly, I got the same issue of last time:

ClrmamePro mixes the area51 chds placed in roms and softlist/saturn folders.
Also it confuses parent/clone folder. For example I have all Kof96 chd merged in softlist/saturn/kof96 folder, but it gives me wrong path and it wishes to rename kof96 folder in kof96c folder (that's one of clones present in the folder)

I reverted on 4.023 and the bugs are not present.

hmm...so only

"fixed: cmpro still shows a wrong checksum message for unneeded chds even after removing them"

could be somehow related to that....I will have a look at it tonight...(actually I remember that I removed one sysdefpath related thing there.....since it didn't make sense (and caused the problem)....guess now I know that it is needed for software lists ;-) )

A quick update:

the Area51 bug is still present in 4.0.23. Clrmame moves the saturn one from softlist/saturn to roms folder and then gives sha1 error (obviously)

The clone/parent bug not.

Now I'm looking on the net for downloading the previous version to see if the bug begins here...

I'm pretty sure 4.022 is ok for you...

the following two are related:

4.024: fixed: cmpro still shows a wrong checksum message for unneeded chds even after removing them
4.023: fixed: cmpro did not mark old chd files (replaced with identical named but different checksum files) as unneeded

so I guess the 4.023 fix is the one which produces your problem...if I remember correctly it's just a one line test which was removed...so I guess I can quickly fix it tonight

Hmmm... think I might have spotted an issue in the new version with "Rename" enabled for WinRAR.

CMP asks if I want rename, then it appears to attempt to, but the RAR is not actually changed. There's no warning message or anything, it simply does not rename.

I'm using: rn -y -r -rr1 -ma5 -m5 -t -htc -ibck -qo+ %1 %2 %3

Perhaps I have founded a bug:
in merged mode if the parent chd is not present also the roms of that set are shown as missing unless they are present in the romset.
See ss2005 set for example.

Eh? I don't get that. If you don't have the roms in the (parent) set, they appear as missing...well...what do you expect? Where exactly is the problem???? Maybe a more detailed example would help me

edit: hmm...I might know what you mean...yeah...there is something messed up...grrr...
edit 2: ok found and fixed

regarding the rar rename issue:
I cannot repeat it....I've used rn -y -r -rr1 -ma5 -m5 -t -htc -ibck -qo+ %1 %2 %3 on a simply rar file where one name needs to get renamed and it worked fine. Using WInrar 5.30 beta 4 64bit.
Maybe you need to send me your file in question + dat.
