CHD Gets removed due to being "unneeded"?
« on: 23 July 2013, 15:02 »

Using 4.010. Ikaruga\gdl-0010.chd gets the boot. Why does that happen? All other CHDs are correctly left alone.

A chd is marked as unneeded if the hash does not match. So you should double check the sha1 hash of the chd file in question (chdman -info ...) with the one in the MAME database. If it does not match you have a wrong chd.

Thank you ever so much, it was a wrong/old dump. Guess I expected your fine program to tell me that, instead of reporting it as unneeded :)

Well, it did....baddumps are unneeded...because the hashes don't match...what kind of report did you expect :)

Haha, I'm NOT complaining. But a "SHA1 don't match any known good dumps" would have pointed me in the right direction. :)
