Hi Roman.
MAME 0.142u4 (32bit) freshly compiled.
Using clrmamepro 3.138 - scanner - set information - export (*) -> resulting file is 16.506KB
Doing the same thing, same settings with clrmamepro 3.138a -> resulting file is 398.872KB !!!!!!!

What am I doing wrong?

(*) in cmpro.ini I have "Adv_DatFormatXML = off"

hmmm..no idea...will check it at home...
only thing which changed is that it skips not-active sets now in export...
since you got all enabled, this shouldn't play a role..

Maybe your old dat is xml and the new one is old -listinfo format?
Send me the 2 dats....

Thank you very much, you are very fast.
I tested the new binary (32bit) and it works perfectly now.

I would love to use XML, but to manage my DATfiles I'm using an old tool which only supports old style DATs.

hmmm...ok... after some tchar and T macro cleanup here and there it compiles and links fine as unicode build now...some steps to do though like:
switching to latest ziparchive unicode build
checking some "char" left overs

don't ask me when it's done but it's not a "no way" anymore... but now some holiday first.....

It is NOT recommended to use anything but the most current 4.x version.
