Bug with MESS ibm5150 set
« on: 15 May 2011, 14:02 »

For some reason latest cmpro thinks that "wdbios.rom" in the ibm5150 set is an unneeded file, even though it shows up in -listxml and -listroms like every other ROM in the set.

unneeded is not necessarily a not listed file. if the hash doesn't match, it can be rated as unneeded too. so please check your file's hash and compare it with the one from mess.
if you still think somethings spooky, send me the files and I will have a deeper look at it later this week.

It's not appearing here as unneeded (MESS .142), so I guess you simply have one with a wrong size/hash information.

Be sure you got a file:

wdbios.rom
crc32: 8e9e2bd4
size: 8192 byte
sha1: 601d7ceab282394ebab50763c267e915a6a2166a

I have that exact file, anyway it was a bug in MESS dynamic devices instead... working now with latest svn.

hmm..interesting...as I said, I've scanned MESS .142 data and it was read ok and not listed as unneeded....maybe you had something between .142 and .142u3 where it was not correctly listed
