Hi

First of all i want to thank you for making such a great tool  :D

I have a request regarding renaming files inside archives during scan (and perhaps rebuild).

Since a lot of sets nowdays have pretty huge files, creating a lot of work for the driveheads on harddisks with the constant read/write sequences during in-archive renaming operations, would it be possible to implement an optional work folder (which would be on another drive) and have clrmamepro follow these steps for each archive needing renaming of files?:

1. Unpack Archive to work folder.
2. Rename files in work folder.
3. Pack Archive to original folder
4. Flush archive buffer to disk.

I have a feeling it would also save quite a lot of time in the long run.
Not to mention saving a bit of wear on the harddrive.  :)

/Regards

Renaming or files within archives is done in-place without any repacking.

For zip files this is done all of the time, for rar/7z if the used 7z binary supports the rename operation (which the current version do).
Unpacking files will be way slower.
