Different folder for bios and software
« on: 02 January 2013, 19:04 »

Hi Roman
How can I do to specify different search folder for bios and software in MESS?
I have a "roms" folder for bioses and a "software" folder for soflist lists with subfolder, for example n62, saturn etc.
All this using the import software list when parsing the .exe.

If you already have them split up on your hd, you can try the auto-assign button (which tries a best match to assign them). Otherwise you need to double-click the single lines (2nd or 3rd column) to assign them manually.

Actually for MESS I have not imported softlists and if I click System button in the scanner window I see only two lines:
[STANDARD]
[DEVICE]

well...if you did not import software lists...why do you want to split them up?
Clean the profiler cache and reget the data if you need another chance to import them....or think about separated software lists where you simply drop the MESS software list xml files into the profiler and handle them as individual profiles...
