- Mechanical drivers disabled by default (for a faster startup of the ui)
- If you still have a slow startup please delete "mame.ini" or change "disable_mechanical_driver 0" to "disable_mechanical_driver 1" in "mame.ini"

Last night i've done a big and great upgrade to the forum, actually you will not notice any difference but the news will appear soon.

Hi all, these days I realized that the video collection for MAME Plus XT are not updated for a long time and need to be revitalized.
So, i decided to start from a good base and i've converted all CrashTest Collection videos from MNG to AVI format and renamed all the videos to be used whit MAME 0.145.

I also started the production of the missing videos respecting the characteristics of Crashtest Collection.

In the coming days I will start to publish the first packs of the new videos collection.

My motivation to continue the production is strong but in the absence of feedback from users will assess whether to continue or not.

So anyone interested please reply to this post with their own assessments and recommendations that will be taken seriously by me.

Formalized the Votrax SC-01 device. Implemented the full set of
digital logic from the patent, including the timing circuit,
transition circuit, glottal generator, and noise source. Some unknowns
still exist with regards to clocking, due to contradictory statements
in the patent, but as it stands now, all parameters are fetched and
processed, phonemes are requested, and in theory all that remains is
for someone with analog sound experience to simulate the filters on
the output. For now, you just get the raw glottal pulse mixed with the
noise signal based on the vocal and fricative amplitudes, which is
enough to show progress, but hardly a pleasing result just yet.

the recently-added mixer interface. All sound outputs are redirected
to the new sound device itself, and then the consuming driver can

Ok, the over-sized game selection dialog was crap. Here's a quick new FB Alpha release to forget it. You can download the new version on the FB Alpha page.
