show me where to get more info on how to check on artwork files i understand how to use cmpro on roms thanks for any help

There is no difference in using cmpro on art files. Get a dat, setup rompaths which now point to your art folder and scan. Keep in mind the general storing methods: rompath\setname\file 1... file n (or rompath\setname.zip (.rar/.7z) in case of compressed sets. So look at the dat, how the artwork stuff is organized in it and setup rompaths accordingly.

thanks for the quick answer nut i am still lost i am sorry but i dnot understand what to do i got a the mameartwrk datfile but not real sure how to load it i change the rompath to artwok but it keeps hoing to the roms file any more help would be greatly helpful thanks again

ok, mame artwork as an example:

1) download the mame artwork dat here: http://mrdo.mameworld.info/mame_art/mame_artwork_dat.zip

2) drag'n drop this file  into cmpro's profiler window and select [Profiles] as sutiable place for the dat. Then double click the newly created profiler entry in this tree branch. Select "Default" in the next prompt telling you that by now no settings exist.

3) go to settings and add a rompath which point a folder where you put your artwork zip files.

4) go to the scanner and hit scan. It will tell you what's wrong. If you want to get them fixed, you need to turn on the fix options.


If you want to scan flyers, snapshots etc, then be aware of the fact that the dats for such 'art' stuff is usually a 1-set dat listing all single pngs in that 1 set. Then you need to think a bit how to setup the rompath...but actually I explained that in the last post.
