Dragging files to the 'Scanner' window...

(1/1)

^VoiD:
Hi all, quick question and one that is probably easy to answer for some, but I've hauled through all the settings/menus and whatnot and am unable to find something I think I may of missed...

I have recently formatted my PC and have reinstalled cmpro etc and have done a scan of my mame set. Having not updated for a while I have a stack of stuff missing which I have got hold of, and my normal procedure used to be just to drag/drop the zip files into the Scanner window after a scan and closing the results window. cmpro would fix the missings out of the contents of what I dragged into the window, skip what it didn't need/use and delete what it did use.

Everytime I try to drag/drop anything into the Scanner window now, nothing happens, nothing at all, no warnings, no nothing. I've tried to rack my brains and I think I can vaguely remember a setting that allows this to work? Am I right, completely lost the plot, or missing something obvious?

Regards

Stef

Roman:
Welcome to the beautiful world of UAC. Windows Vista and Windows7 doesn't allow you to do drag'n drop operations where source and destination does not share the same UAC levels.
You should not install cmpro in an UAC protected folder (like c:\program files) or you need to run it with additional administrator rights.

Thanks Roman, now you mention it, this was the same bother I had with W7 before.

Installed cmpro to the same hard drive as all my emu stuff, problem solved :)
