filtering sets by driver
« on: 26 May 2020, 22:10 »

Hello,

Using MAME, is it possible to remove sets by driver or genre?

Example:  I do not have any pinball games in my MAME collection.  Is there a way to remove those from the scanner / set information list?

Scanner --> click set information button --> click the plus to expand Mechanical  --> click Avail Sets button

The pinball games show in the list as unchecked (proper behavior).

Is there now a way to remove the pinball games (maybe by driver or genre)?

Thank you,
Jason

You can use "Scanner Advanced -> mark disabled sets as unneeded" and unticked sets will appear as unneeded and the belonging fix option will remove them.
For deselecting mechanical ones, use setinformation select sets: %M=0 and hit apply.
