Hello,
I am trying to update my progettosnaps extended icon set to 0.204 the usual way (scan, rebuild, scan). For reasons yet unknown, the first scan is taking forever (I have waited for half an hour at least). I was able to update snap and titles zips without problems using the same settings, icons is the only one causing trouble.
If I stop the scan, a prompt to remove ablast.ico appears. How can I get more information regarding what is causing the issue? Thank you!

Good then it is not the nightly one which is currently offline due to other reasons and it also happens on windows systems. Will check this tonight.

No bug but a really really long operation.
Turn off Scanner->Advanced->Fix Missing Options ->Deeper check for fixable missing files in your profile

This option is totally overkill for unpacked 1-set-10000-roms sets since it will run over all files over and over again if it finds a missing one...and it calculates hashes for each one over and over again.

This is no problem with packed sets which have only some roms...but for this special case it runs for a day ;-)

(For such sets, you should turn off "fix missing", too)

Thank you for checking! For the record, the icons set was zipped. With deeper check disabled (but fix missing on) cmp managed to crunch through the scan in 4,5 hours :o I hope this does not happen again anytime soon :D

As mentioned, turn off fix-missing, too....since it will do a similar check...still too long.
A (decompressed) extended icon scan with these options turned off takes less than a minute on my system (actually 31 seconds when the files are in the diskcache from a previous scan)

...and I was wrong before....keep such sets unpacked ;-)
