Two websites speculates about the posibility of the existence of "Halls of Kyros" for arcades in Europe whit Sega license. The rumor is based as in the home computers conversions (released only in Europe) the title was "Desolator-Halls of Kyros" (but mainly Desolator title is used) but in covers/loading screen is showed "Alpha/Sega", (why Sega?, if the original developer is Alpha Denshi).

Ross Harris was the graphician for the ZX Spectrum computer conversion:

Quote from: Ross Harris
A rather obscure arcade game. US Gold changed the name from the original Halls of Kyros to Desolator. Working on the forever delayed ST version, we called it Desolater-and-later-and-later...

Y readed elsewhere (quite many years what i forgot the source, but probably comes from the same Ross Harris) what U.S.Gold changed the game title for domestic computers in an attempt to use a more cool commercial product name.

The uncertain thing is what if Ross said "US Gold changed the name from the original Halls of Kyros to Desolator" he should be managed a real running pcb or videotapes to do the gfx conversion so: a)Somebody tell him the Japanese title displayed somewhere "Kyros no Yakata" means "Halls of Kyros" (a good Japanese-translator is needed to confirm this) b)He watched real arcade game images (videotape or running pcb) whit the on-screen title as "Halls of Kyros".

But at least for sure what "Desolator" as arcade release title for "Kyros/Kyros no Yakata" never existed.
