How to fix Dates and Time Stamps?
« on: 26 July 2010, 17:18 »

Hi!

I have my DOS games collection damaged by torrentzip. All files dates and times have been replaced by torrentzip. I'm trying to fix it using clrmamepro. All files are renamed according to a DAT I've been using but I have much more games (sets) than the DAT contain. I have another DAT with all the original dates and times of all the files I have but the sets names are totally different. In that second DAT I also have CRC, MD5 and SHA1 sums. Obviously names of ROMs inside every set are identical. Can I use clrmamepro to solve my problem?

You can only fix dates/times when the datfile supports date entries. So check if your used datfile holds "date" tags inside the rom tags.
If no, you don't have a chance to restore dates.
If yes, you can use the scanner's date check/fix option to fix them.
