ok..rule #1: There is no reason on earth to disable the "SETS" option.

Maybe you should wipe out the "sets" option and leave to the user only "roms", "samples" and "chds" options

2) It's checked. It is usually happening with .png files which are kept unzipped. Last time it occurred to me was updating AntoPISa snap collection from .132 to .133. I keep snap collections unzipped in their respective folder.
3) Yes, I know about subfolders; but that's not what I need. I was looking to possibly set backup folder on a per set base, like: - with mame.exe use as backup folder c:\unsortedarcade and with mametitles.dat use as backupfolder d:\temp\snaps .Would it be possible?

ISSUE 1:
in batchrun, the new "never/always scan subfolder" is not saved correctly in between sessions.

ISSUE 1:
Sets with wrong name that clrmame could not rename (same name already existing in the same folder) are not moved to backup folder.

REQUEST:
backup folder is a general setting, valid for the whole clrmame. Would it be possible to make it a "per datfile" setting?

If I may suggest, there would be needed a 3 states option:

1) ALWAYS use subfolder
2) NEVER use subfolder
3) follow subfolder as per individual profile.

It looks like the " ' " is in a wrong position.
it should be "BRIKIN'GER" and not "BRI'KINGER"

clrmame Discussion / old mame exe issue

I downloaded mame034 from mamedev.com and put it in a new folder.
I try to create a new datfile with clrmame (selecting OLD_MAME in the create profile window), but at loading clrmame complains about a bad exe output.

BTW from a command prompt mame - listinfo > datfile.dat works perfectly and clrmame is able to load the output datfile.

Hi Roman,
check this picture:

it looks like not yet loaded datfiles are listed in alphabetical by dat name, not taking care of the full path.
This makes things a little bit confusionary.
Would it be possible to have them listed in alphabetical order including full path?

I see that Incog is deleting categories from dumped games to "reduce category pollution and confusion".

While I see it as a good thing, I would never-the-less leave at least the category related to the arcade platform of the game (i.e.: Naomi GD-ROM).
This should help people working on a specific system track exactely what have been already done and what still has to be checked on that system.

I just come accross this problem:

Border Down (Rev A) -> is dumped and in MAME -> a page for it is already in the wiki category:dumped
Border Down -> is not dumped and I have to prepare a page for it

I have 2 options:

1) I make a new page for it, including a link to the page for the already dumped one
2) I update the already existing page, adding information for the undumped revision, and putting it both in category:dumped and in category:undumped (but what I do on the main list? do I list it?)

I would prefer option 1) but your opinion is highly appreciated
