I can't repeat your issues here.
I've loaded the old sg1000.xml into the profiler, setup an empty rompath, scanned, all sets appear with "missing set" tags and only one monaco set is listed.
Then I've loaded the new sg100.xml into the profiler and cmpro detected that you can update the old one. Fine, done, scanned again, all sets appear with a "missing set" tag and monaco is listed twice because the new datfile holds two monaco games.
Then I've loaded the old datfile again into the profiler, updated the new one with it, scanned, and again all sets are correctly listed as missing sets and again only one monaco set is listed.

So....you need to give me more details, step by step, what you're doing. Plus maybe information about
the files you got in the rompath.

*update* I might have a guess what the issue is about the not showing up "missing set" entry in the 1st scan. I expect you got a monacogp set from the old dat, but since it was completely replaced with a different dump in the new datfile, the set name check did see it as existing in the first scan, while the rom scans of course tell you it's unneeded and removes the full file.

So, first scan, set exists, roms in the archive are wrong though.
second scan, set does not exist anymore (because the unneeded rom was removed) and it correctly lists it with missing set now.
Well, it's a rare effect and based on the fact how cmpro scans. In this case, the rom fixes will alter the state of set checks....I might have a look if this can be somehow prevented but it's not a bug.

Regarding your other "cache" issue, no idea. Can't repeat this here. Sounds more like you scanned or updated the wrong datfile.

*update 2*
I was able to reproduce the "missing set" "missing roms" thingie and I was right. It happens exactly as described above, when a set is completely replaced by a new one. This will be 'fixed' for the next release.

fixed for the next version...however your xml file is bad....for example

www.emulab.it/emulators/datfiles/Capcom Play System 3 Emulator (1.0a).zip
does not hold a file named:
Capcom Play System 3 Emulator (1.0a).dat

it should be named: Capcom Play System 3 Emulator v1.0a.dat

which attributes are we talking about? the ones in the zipfile or the archive itself?

I was talking about the date time preserve options. there is none for attributes. however iirc +a is set if archive preserve date time is disabled.

by the way zips without comments are scanned faster...simply because cmpro does not have to seek over and over again to find the central directory of the zip. and these torrent zip 0 byte pads are simply annoying.

the disk full thing wasnt touched. regarding the missing set issue, i will look i to this when i m back. is it a completely empty rompath or what do you scan? regarding the set issue...again i need some info about what you scan and how. totally different set sounds weird.

date and time is handled via settings' preserve date and time features. if turned off, the current time is used....either for the archive or files inside them. ... or you got a dat which supports date time flags ( but these are very rarely used). regarding file attributes... have to check what is used... normally +a is set if preserve option is disabled iirc.

Well, you have to differ between correct zipdata and correct zipstructures. The decompressable zipdata can be 100% ok even when the structures are bad. While winzip/winrar aren't picky about it, clrmamepro is and it only supports standard zips with standard ids and standard zip layout.

Your file got garbage at the end of file (= your torrentzip comment pads with 0x00 bytes in a wrong way. The zipstructure lists 22 chars for the comment but the comment is way longer....). And this is not a standard zip.

You can rezip the file with your fav zip program (= decompress files, delete old zip, recompress files to a new zip) and it will work.

hmm...sounds a bit...weird ;)

Since it's a column, the totals would appear besides each profile, but are calculated over the full folder? Or did I get something wrong? Fake a screenshot....

3.134

added: support mess software list's loadflag continue and ignore flags
added: show rebuilder warning if rebuilt file can't be removed (when wanted)
fixed: fixed wrong named sets falsely need a 2 pass scan to get displayed correctly
fixed: chd-on-root level was broken for romless sets
fixed: replacing an xml dat does not reset the profile status
fixed: profiler.xml stats values are wrong (32bit version only) (funnily enough I forgot to list this in the 32bit's whatsnew.txt ;))

well...but where's the issue? :)
ok...it doesn't clean up the failed rebuilt file....but hey...it's not that bad, ain't it :) I will check the code for that...

...the other reported one is more interesting....

scanner->scan results->set information window

then "select sets" edit box. ... then play a bit with variables and stuff. like %d=*(EUR)* enables all sets with description part (EUR).

batcher is just a sequentially profile load and scanner call. I need some step by step example with the files to repeat this here. as mentioned, no work until monday evening. enough time to send me some examples ;)

can you give a step by step description of what you do, which files you change...prepare me a package of files...
however I won't be able to look at it before monday evening...

"I ran a "New Scan" and it showed the renamed set is missing a rom"
This sound wicked since it should list the set as wrong named with no additional things about roms....

Then try to 'official way' :O)....don't replace the file, but let cmpro update it when it asks you if you want to create a new profile or update an old one....
I may look into the color thing somewhere in 2011 :)

Regarding the softlist support - it seems, that changes to the .xml are not being detected and even when I update it with "Add DatFile..." I still need to clear the cache, so it will use the new data.

not repeatable here...and very unlikely. cmpro stores the crc32 of the datfile in the cache file, too (and actually it's named after its crc32). If you change the dat in any way, its crc32 will change (assuming that the chance of hitting a hash conflict here is minimum) and the dat is read in instead of using the cache.
