Hooked up MC6845 to Laser Base [Angelo Salese]

Hooked up PIT to Laser Base [Angelo Salese, Tomasz Slanina]

Changed some of the default mappings for analog controls in order to
fix various input-fighting bugs (including, but not limited to,
MT#4394 and MT#4509). Reverted the u8 change to analog joystick
handling--it only partially solved the problem it was meant to fix, it
introduced new issues in return, and generally made the code more
complicated for little benefit [Alex Jackson]

Improved game documentation to Naomi / Triforce / Chihiro HW [f205v]

New clones added

Added tables from vlm5030 as verified by decap from ogoun. Adapted
vlm5030 to use the tms5xxx common tables file. Some details have yet
to be worked out for certain (how exactly the reflection coefficients
beyond k=2 address the k2+ rom)
[ogoun, Lord Nightmare, The Dumping Union]

Adjusted the VLM5030 K3 thru K10 coefficients to be based not on
reading the K2 rom but based on the index itself <<6 or 7. This makes
the games sound much better and explains the very small ram size used
for coefficients other than K1 and K2. This needs further
investigation and figuring out of the die schematic to settle
completely. [Lord Nightmare]

CoinOPS Discussion / The last chance
« on: 16 October 2011, 09:58 »
This is the last chance to save this board.

What i need to change my mind is that BP admits his mistakes and promises not to do more in the future.

What i want here is :

1. This should be a place of fun and this must remain.
2. For no reason you have to offend people of this or other communities.
3. Avoid flames.
4. Avoid any disrespectful behavior.
5. A new moderator will be chosen by the community and will have no power for any reason at its sole discretion to delete threads and posts.

The last word word to you BP.

188
Hey BP, from what I could see with my eyes, unfortunately, you are a very aggressive person and disrespectful.

I can not give back the status of moderator as you would use it again to do damage.

I am very sorry that things went well, I respect your work but not your person.

I'm still willing to host the forum to certain conditions, namely:

No longer speak of Xtras

Not offend the sensibilities of anyone more

You are not a moderator and the tone of the posts have content that relate to the fun, not war

No flames

and so on ...

and please, from now on stop posting on this forum, if you want to continue here contact me privately and we can define rules to stop this and other future drama...

if you dont like that, you have the alst word, just inform me and the forum is not nuked like you want but freezed.
People must read to understand what happened.

Quote
Note: This version has some changes to the Megadrive driver. The driver is now based on the MESS software list.

The game shortnames are prepended by md_ to differentiate them from the arcade games where conflicts occur. FB Alpha will look for your roms in the normal zip names, you do not need to create a new copy of the games and prepend md_. It is advisable to have the Megadrive roms in the seventh or eighth rom paths to avoid conflicts with arcade games. Support files will need to retain the md_ in order to avoid conflicts, however.

All Megadrive games are now enabled (except for Virtua Racing because the SVP isn't emulated), most should work, however, some may not.

    Megadrive Changes
Updated Megadrive driver based on MESS 0.143u7 software list [Barry]
Made the seventh rom path special like the eighth one so that Megadrive roms can be stored in one of the last two paths and still allow supplementary FB Alpha roms to be in a seperate path [Barry]
Made the short name in the game selection dialog slightly longer to accomodate the Megadrive short names [Barry]
Increased the maximum number for sek handlers to 10 [Barry]
Added better SRAM support and support for custom mappers as per MESS< [Barry]
Removed menu option for making a datfile with both arcade games and Megadrive games, the two would conflict, and arcade and Megadrive dats need to be handled seperately [Barry]
Updated the dat file creation module to remove the md_ from the Megadrive shortnames [Barry]
Added clone of Aquajack to the Taito-Z driver [Barry]
Added clone of Vigilante to the Vigilante driver [Barry]
Fixed music tempo and continuity in Item M90 and M92 drivers [iq_132][
Added option to the YM2413 to decrease volume and used it to correct sound in the Mitchell driver [Barry]
Fixed the gun inputs in Zombie Raid [Barry]
Fixed the support file path creation for the IPS folders on app init [Barry]
Fixed immediate update of Apply Patches checkbox in game selection dialog when applying IPS Patches [Barry]
Added ability to search the drivers short name as well as the description in the Game Selection dialog [Barry]
Made the Game Selection dialog search interactive and removed the Search button [Barry]
Made the Game Selection dialog choose the current loaded game if a game is currently loaded [Barry]
Fixed crash when (de)selecting auto-frameskip and using the DirectSound audio module [Barry]
Restored the uxtheme style for the application [Barry]
Matched all sets to MAME 0.143u7 [Barry]

CoinOPS Discussion / Re: whats happens ?
« on: 15 October 2011, 13:24 »
From what I've put together so far, Hornswoggle changed the text of a couple or maybe one of BPs posts as a joke. One of the posts in the forums quotes what he wrote.  One of the two deleted all of the posts in the forum. Both claim to not have global deleted the files.

Simone, do you have a way of restoring all of those posts, like a backup or something? A lot of the other members had a good bit of work put into some of those topics including myself.

unfortunally i cant, no db backups made, just cant imagine that...

i offered my help and this is the thanksgiving.

i've found a backup from 10/10 but before start to restore anything, apologies from BP are necessary.

191
Hey BP, are you kidding ?

I offered my help without any interference and at free of cost.

You have deliberately deleted all the thread without any advice.

You NEVER informed me or asked my help.

I'm sure that is not the good way to solve a problem if it exists.

Now I'm still love your work at Coinops but is not my intentention to encouraging a war enagaged with whoever you want.

You are warned. you are free to move on and... if i not denote a change in your behavior the entire board will be nuked without any advice.

Also, I'm very disappointed that something that should just be fun has turned into a real war, and I do not approve this.

For this reason I apologize to everyone for what has happened and what will happen if things do not change.

Hello Simone, I do not know who deleted the forum posts/topics, but I may have been the reason why they may have been deleted. For this, I am sorry and did not want this at all.

As I have said in another topic, I have been away from the scene, and had come back to find the abusive behaviour of BP towards other users unacceptable. Now, I admit I may have overstepped my authority here, but I could not stand idly by, while one human being was being so intolerant and offensive to other human beings.

Maybe my actions were in hindsight a mistake, but I fully stand by my views on BP's behaviour towards others.

I think you should have done what you thought was right, unfortunately my lack of knowledge of English does not allowed me to understand what was going on first.

However, the only person who had rights to delete treads beyond you and i was BP, so i wait for his explanation...
