« on: 22 November 2019, 11:25 »buongiorno a tutti mi presento sono Gigi e sto finendo di costruire un cabinato fatto tutto da me....ho un piccolo problema non riesco ad emulare circa 10 giochi ...sara perche uso mameui versione 0.184 e le rom appartengono sicuramnete ad un altro emulatore mame un po piu datato....come posso fare?
Hai 2 possibilità: o passi all'ultimo MAMEUI disponibile (lo 0.215) o cerchi le rom più vecchie. Per sapere quali sono scarichi o crei il dat del tuo MAME, poi le cerchi in rete. Si trovano in giro dei torrent detti "Rollback" con le rom che ora non sono più usate.

Sorry I'm late, yesterday was a hectic day for me.
I think I have already answered...
My main problem is that I create dats using folders with "free" files inside them, but most people use zipped files.
I solved it by nesting further relevant folders.

Hello Roman,
Recently I saw the folder structure of all of the MAME resources (you can see it here: http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=351573&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1&new=); creating the dat of the individual categories with dir2dat function, I had no problems. Instead, creating the dat which includes all resources, pointing to the folder that contains them all, you got a dat file mixed up and many other errors.
Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe you can allow the user to choose between the term "game" or "machine", with the second as default.
Edit it xml with an editor is simple, but for me that I create dozens per month, is a job too big!

Beh, al giorno d'oggi gli HD esterni sono l'unica soluzione per conservare (ed eventualmente spostare) l'ormai gigantesco set del MAME, CHD compresi.
Credo che questa soluzione sia la sola praticabile a questo punto.
