Title: rebuild where rom already exist
Post by: pucci on 07 September 2019, 15:39
My MAME set is splitted in 4 directory:
- MAME
- MESS
- BIOS
- device
when i rebuilt changed roms all new updated file of a rom goes only to rebuilt directory
it's possible to rebuilt in the correct directory if rom already existed?

The rebuilder takes files from the given source (which can be one given folder, multiple files/folders when you use drag'n drop, multiple folders if you use add paths) and - in case of a match - creates them in one given destination folder. Having multiple destination folders is only possible via the use of system-default-paths (MAME/MESS/BIOS is not a method which is supported by that).
You might be able to use rebuilder advanced->destination prestring options to do some magic...but generally speaking, no real matching feature exists for what you want. On the other the rebuilder is usually used to add files, so most of the time they do not exist in the destination anyway....
