Title: Problems with scanning and rebuilding
Post by: Head on 17 January 2011, 05:47
Hi..

I'm using Clrmamepro (3.137b now) quiet a while and i'm very happy with it.

But i'm a little bit confused at the moment:

1. Problem: If I rebuild with a tosec Dat a Set, it finds the whole set and the rebuilder does his job. A scan after the rebuilding says, that everything is fine.
But if I load the profile again and start a new scan, clrmamepro doesn't find any ROMs/Sets and all the rebuilded files are now "unneeded".
I can repeat this procedure with the same result.

2. Problem: If i want to rebuild from the Backup-Path, I use the Button to set the BackupPath as source. When I rebuild he doesn't find anything.
But when i select the same (!) path manually (with [...]), the scan runs successfully and every rom will be found.

So what's wrong?

Thank you

edit: Problem solved!!! Thank you Roman for your great support!

This sounds totally weird...send me your cmpro.ini, the used dat, the belonging .cmp file from cmpro's settings folder.
Some additional information is needed...like, are you using network paths as rompaths/rebuild source/destination, etc etc..

Of course keep in mind the difference of Scan and New Scan.
A new scan scans everything. A "Scan" only scans files which had an issue in a previous New Scan or Scan.

So if you did a rebuild in between with possible wrong folders, then of course a new scan gives a different result than a scan.

I tried both, newscan and scan - same effect.
Not network-paths, all on HD, Win7 64..

The folders are ok, other Dats works without any problems in the same Directory...
Maybe the dats are broken?

I'll send you the files that you want and also some Screenshots.

Thx

edit: ok, problem #2 was a layer 8 failure ;)
