Title: "stop rebuilding process" -> auto answer
Post by: Mucci on 12 June 2018, 06:45
Hi Roman

Im rebuilding a "corrupt" set to a new Location. Each time a corrupt file is accessed it askes me "will you stop the rebuilding process".
Is it possible to add a "Remember answer" tickbox to this msg-Windows so that you are only asked once?

thanks for your tool and time :-)

Well, yes, such an option is of course possible...however such an error should be extremely rare and the actual reason for it should be found or fixed.

Yes thats what Im doing -> Rescue what I can from my damage Folder ;-)
Im atm at 53% and clicked already 200 times "no".

But maybe a feature that you can add to your list with no priority ;-)

thanks

Would it be enough if the prompt appears only once per archive?
So if you have 1000 files which should be added to archive xyz, then you will see the prompt only once (and the other 999 are skipped)....but if an error appears in archive abc, then you see another prompt (again once)

After I have successfully rebuilded my corrupt set I have seen that a lot of the corrupt files had a file size of zero. Some "clicks" was useless in that case when I had removed those files first ;-)
I had a lot of other corrupt file and "yes" it would helps when you asked only once per file. The other option "Once per scan"  would be perfect .....

......but I agree with you : it is really a special situation and should normally not happen.
