Title: clrmamepro 4.031a released
Post by: Roman on 18 October 2016, 17:29
4.031a

fixed: various softwarelist/standard mix problems with double set names
       - chd name matching problem which came back with 4.030 fix for unneeded chds
       - identifying wrong set leading to all kind of  sideeffects like prompts to rename sets or skipping wrong placed sets
       - skipping detection of a missing set when identical sets are shared in different sysdefpaths
       - reporting wrong "wrong sysdefpath" warnings when 100% identical sets are shared in sysdefpaths
or for clones where parent's set name was identical in different sysdefpaths
or when a set was renamed and old name is now used in a different sysdefpath
fixed: rebuilder matched files counter
misc:  remember dir2dat setting for datfile format
misc:  updated unrar dll to 5.40.100.2100
misc:  updated 7z dll/sdk to 16.04

Hello Roman and thank you for keeping cmpro alive.

I just updated clrmamepro to this latest release cmp4031a_64.zip and scanned my complete rom sets but version 4.031a statistics dialog states that I'm missing 10 roms and 306 samples as seen below. The previous version 4.030a indicated that nothing was missing.
Additionally, the scanner results window does not show any error messages after the scanner completes. I also noticed that Active ROMs section (At the buttom of the statistics dialog) appears to indicate that no roms are missing (see below Active ROMs 266037/266037).
Just as a test, to eliminate the possibility of having a corrupt cmpro installation, I extracted cmp4031a_64.zip into a different folder, recreated my profile, scanned my roms and samples folder, but once again I got the same results as below.
Any idea what I might be doing wrong?

yes, it's normal...ignore it for now, you're complete.

Stats rules became a bit stricter lately...and it counts some bytes/roms/samples from "fake clones"....clones which are identical to their parents...
like e.g. blvelvet...

I will see if I can change that behaviour in the near future.

Thank you Roman.

I really appreciate your quick response and the explanation!
I feel relieved to know that my sets are indeed complete.

Your tool is a must for people that want to maintain perfect sets.

 ;)

http://mamedev.emulab.it/clrmamepro/binaries/cmpro20161024.rar (http://mamedev.emulab.it/clrmamepro/binaries/cmpro20161024.rar)

this should fix the stats...

Regarding pacman's post, this is what i ended up with after updating mame 0.179 roms

Missing
·Sets                 0/36935
·ROMs                 8/268561
·CHDs                 0/901
·Samples              306/17427
·Bytes                144kb/210gb

The scan results window was empty and then i did another full scan and ended up with these next results

Angler Dangler (DECO Cassette) (US) [system: DECO Cassette System - folder: cadanglr - size: 51kb]
not separated biosrom file: D:\Emulator\MAME ROMs v0.179\cadanglr\v0a-.7e

Burger Time (DECO Cassette) (US) [system: DECO Cassette System - folder: cbtime - size: 54kb]
not separated biosrom file: D:\Emulator\MAME ROMs v0.179\cbtime\v0a-.7e

Tournament Pro Golf (DECO Cassette) (US) [system: DECO Cassette System - folder: cprogolf - size: 50kb]
not separated biosrom file: D:\Emulator\MAME ROMs v0.179\cprogolf\v0a-.7e

Pro Soccer (DECO Cassette) (US) [system: DECO Cassette System - folder: cpsoccer - size: 86kb]
not separated biosrom file: D:\Emulator\MAME ROMs v0.179\cpsoccer\v0a-.7e

Should i ignore it ?

did you use this http://mamedev.emulab.it/clrmamepro/binaries/cmpro20161024.rar (http://mamedev.emulab.it/clrmamepro/binaries/cmpro20161024.rar)

as posted right above (for the stats count)?

And regarding the v0a-.7e file, it is indeed part of the deco cassette bios set...and should be placed there... so you can remove them from the single sets (which another scan will do for you automatically). I will check why they were placed in the single sets in the first place though.....

ok...in .178 some decocass sets had "v0a-.7e" listed in their set definitions and it was not listed in the BIOS set itself.
in .179 "v0a-.7e" became part of decocass bios set...and so the message is correct when cmpro scans (some of your .178) decocass sets. As mentioned, cmpro will fix them for you.

update: ah ok.....there are 2 checks which fight a bit against each other regarding that....I will fix this.

however, your stats should be fine already with the mentioned nightly build
