Title: Rename failure?
Post by: john iv on 14 November 2024, 03:17
Hi Roman, starting w/ today's tip of master I'm getting a rename warning over and over regardless of how many times I run the scan.
c:\O\Games\MAME>mame -version
0.271 (mame0271-231-gc87f8a3801a)

"8.sub " <--- see the ending space character, the name is not trimmed correctly in MAME

Thanks, I'll let them know on the Bannister shoutbox.

'Typo in goldnpkr.cpp at line 5740, the rom_load '8.sub' has a space after it which is being flagged in clrmame.'

"flagged" ...well....clrmame auto trims (and replaces other characters which can't be used as filename chars)....it's not really that bad...and MAME loads the files anyhow by crc32.....
