NON SOLO M.A.M.E. / Help! I have several tapes and want to encode it!

I  have several VHS tapes of LaserDiscs that were created before (thank goodness) my collection was stolen.  I want to take the tapes and dump them to an MPEG file for use with Daphne possibly.  I have 8 tapes.  Is there a product that I can hit play on the VCR and create an MPEG file?
(And maybe even not cost me too muchè?? (grin))
