4.06
misc: reset profile to not scanned in case scan was skipped
misc: changed the error message for .7z files which aren't 7z archives
misc: made the three settings/compressor/general options list archive files with comments, +rsh, double names global options. You need to reset them if you used them before
misc: download failure messages are shown in the warnings window instead of a prompt
misc: show file and rom names in progress dialog for rom uneeded check/rom if set is not compressed
misc: general speed up for fix-missing decompressed files
added: CMPro_TempFolder and CMPro_TempFolder_Clean settings to cmpro.ini to let you select the cmpro folder and optionally clean it on startup. Default value is the cmpro temp folder and data gets initially removed. You need to start/quit cmpro once to see this setting
added: logging warnings window entries to cmpro.log (cleared on startup)
added: set information boxes to include devices and/or bios automatically
fixed: chdman verify check fails for rompaths with spaces
fixed: newly created exe profiles can falsely takeover system default settings from loaded profile
fixed: chdversion check for merged sets can hide the result
fixed: xml parser failure when hitting an ending and starting xml comment in one line
fixed: falsely show full set as missing in case of removing unneeded files from decompressed sets

Congrats on another release, Roman.
Out of curiosity, is there any way you could work in Arbee's suggestion (http://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Number=289290&page=0&view=expanded&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1) regarding the CHD check?
Thanks.

I will check it...

'Testing Unneeded' hangs here when scanning 'snaps' (3800/19000 files). I kicked the process after 10min. It looks like cmpro is horribly slow.
Edit: If i disable 'unneeded' check it just hangs anyway so its something different but i have to kick the process always since cmpro doesn't respond (even though the scan animation still works).
Also the scanning process (roms) is much faster when minimizing the 'Scan Results' window (if massive output is coming). It might help to lower the window update rate.

You're scanning a decompressed set (i.e. not a 7z/rar/zip but a folder with .png files)?
If so, the progress window should update rather often with the single png files listed...does that happen for you?
Well, name check and unneeded check are rather similar, so maybe it's also the name check...
I ran a scan and it doesn't hang here...I will do further tests though...
let me know which version (32/64) you're using and send me: cmpro.ini and the belonging .cmp file for your profile from the cmpro settings folder

I will check it...
Thanks, Roman. Hopefully this wouldn't be too difficult to implement and I'm sure it would be very helpful.

the baddumps get replaced anyway very soon I guess......enjoy lots of new chds ;)
-
but anyway...use this:
http://mamedev.emulab.it/clrmamepro/binaries/cmp20120704.rar (http://mamedev.emulab.it/clrmamepro/binaries/cmp20120704.rar)
In settings/compressor/chdman you now got an option to ignore the warning for BADDUMP chds....
-
Nice, thank you. :) Is that worth a minor rev bump for others to see?
-
won't do a release at the moment....the link is public...so everyone can use it....

Hello.
Firstly, thanks for all your work in Cmpro, I've been using it ages now.
So, I'm finally trying to update my chds to v5, using chdman v0.146u2 and this build of cmpro that you posted.
It seam to be working great. But now I came to this:
Punch Mania: Hokuto No Ken (GQ918 VER. JAB ALT CD) [system: System 573 BIOS - folder: pnchmna - parent: fghtmn - size: 6mb]
required chd version mismatch: 918jab02.chd [found version: 4] [required version: 5]
I haven`t looked at mame source, but I think that this one should be a baddump since the sh1 changed after I updated it. Cmpro is set to ignore the warning for BADDUMP chds.
Thanks.

looks like mamedevs didn't mark all baddump chds as baddump....I guess there are already 3-4 known ones which should get marked with the next mame release...
haven't tested myself but users reported the following:
Punch Mania: Hokuto No Ken (GQ918 VER. JAB ALT CD) [system: System 573 BIOS - folder: pnchmna - parent: fghtmn - size: 6mb]

Jingi Storm - The Arcade (GDL-0037) [system: Naomi GD-ROM Bios - folder: jingystm - size: 28mb]
