Title: [Clrmamepro] Enable all rompaths for an external drive?
Post by: korrigan on 07 July 2022, 06:21
My question about Clrmamepro is not being seen in the General forum, and some bot just spammed it with a useless reply, so I hope you don't mind if I repost it here.

I use an external backup drive, and every time I unplug it, clrmamepro disables the rompaths to it. When I plug it back, I have to manually go into the dat profile > settings > put a tick to enable the rompath before I can rescan against the latest dat update.

Is there an option in batch profile loading that will re-enable all the rompaths to the external drive when I plug it into the computer?

If I remember correctly cmpro tests on profile load if the paths (rom paths, sample paths, etc...) are available, if not they get disabled.
So actually you only have to make sure that your external drive is there before you load a profile.

Unfortunately, it does not work like that for me.

The paths are indeed disabled if they are not there on profile load. But reloading the profile with the paths there does not perform a re-enable operation...

If they are not enabled during the test, they get disabled and that status is saved.
So yes, in that case you need to reenable them manually. There is no automatic "retry". The disabled status is saved in the profile.

My advice was more for the future use: If you enabled it successfully, ensure for the next time that before loading the profile, the drive is ready.

Oh ok, I just drag and drop all dat files from the No-Intro daily zip file and update the dats... which prompts them to check the profile paths I guess...
