Title: New Feature for Rebuilder
Post by: manliodp on 02 June 2010, 12:06
Hi Roman,
sorry to bother, i would only ask if it would be possible to add to the rebuilder a feature to set the creation/modification date of the matched files to the current date and maybe set the attributes (read-only,archive,system,hidden).

Thank you very much for this indispensable tool called clrmame!

date and time is handled via settings' preserve date and time features. if turned off, the current time is used....either for the archive or files inside them. ... or you got a dat which supports date time flags ( but these are very rarely used). regarding file attributes... have to check what is used... normally +a is set if preserve option is disabled iirc.

Thank you very much for the prompt response!

EDIT:

I can't find the option about the attributes, could you point where it is please?

Thanks again :D

I was talking about the date time preserve options. there is none for attributes. however iirc +a is set if archive preserve date time is disabled.

I just did a quick test with "preserve date/time" disabled and it does preserve the original attributes.
Could you consider to add this option?

Thank you

which attributes are we talking about? the ones in the zipfile or the archive itself?

The attributes of the files in the zip, it would be nice to "clean" the attributes while i'm recompressing during rebuild.

Thanks
