Title: CMPro Updater Problem?
Post by: mamefan8171 on 22 October 2010, 11:00
Just finished the task of formatting the hard drive and reinstalling Windows XP Pro, still in the process of restoring data.

Noticed that I seem to only be able to run CMPro once before having to reboot.  I have the "check for updates" feature set for Every Day, and I'm wondering if maybe that's the problem?  When I try to run CMPro a second time, I get an error message saying it's already running, even though I have closed it down.   It's appearing in when I bring up Task Manager, but even when I end the task and it disappears, when I try running CMPro again, I get the same error message.  So far the only workaround I have is to reboot.  On my next reboot I'll change the update check frequency to something other than daily and see if that helps, but I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem?

Thanks in advance

Per default you get the message if you try to run a second instance of cmpro.
Now if you shut down cmpro (or the updated does), windows memory management sometimes keeps remembering cmpro for a while and you will see the message again.
Either you wait a while or set cmpro.ini setting Adv_AllowRestart = on

That did the trick!  Thanks!
