Title: How do you audit ONLY your ROMs in your collection?
Post by: nealc on 18 May 2012, 13:16
Hi Everyone,
I am a newbie to all things Mame. I have setup an arcade machine and now going through the tedious process of sorting through ROMs etc. There are so many ROMs that I have, but I only want to keep a 'selection' of them. The problem is when I use ClrMamePro to scan my ROMs it detects 1,000s of Missing ROMS. Whereas what I need is for it to scan my subset of ROMs (say 200) and then out of these tell me what ones are invalid (ie. missing roms within the zip archive), as trawling through this is cumersome...Am I missing something...I thought ClrMamePro can do this.  ???
Any assistance would be appreciated.  :D
I am using MAME 0.144 final version from Nov 2011.

Prefered method:

Do scan all, if you're not interested in fully missing sets, hide them with the scanner context menu option "view->hide fully missing sets" afterwards.

Not prefered method:

Go to scanner->setinformation and limit the sets (either by checkbox, regular expressions, avail sets button etc...), then scan.
